Herzlia - Adas Yeshurun is a Modern Orthodox synagogue located in the River Heights neighborhood of Winnipeg's South End. Our members range from young families with children to senior citizens and founding members.
Like other Modern Orthodox institutions, Herzlia - Adas Yeshurun believes in the philosophy of "Torah u'Mada," a commitment to Torah and Halacha (Jewish Law) along with intellectual openness. And we are a Zionist congregation that recognizes the religious significance of the founding of the modern State of Israel. Herzlia is a member of the Orthodox Union and is committed to the unity of the Jewish community.
At Herzlia we realize that the path to God has many roads. No one should feel uncomfortable, regardless of their religious observance or knowledge. We are committed to fostering a warm, welcoming, and caring Jewish community for Jewish men and women of all ages and backgrounds.
We hold weekly Shabbat services and have a regular daily Minyan in the morning and evening. We offer regular classes as well as other educational and social programs for adults and children throughout the year.
Please call the office for further information or any questions that you have. Our office is open Tuesday through Friday from 9 am until 2 pm. And Rabbi Ellis is always available to meet with you or speak with you. To stay updated about classes, programs, and for service times, please subscribe to our mailing list.
Herzlia - Adas Yeshurun is here for you in the your time of need. In the event of the death in your family, please contact the synagogue immediately and we will help you and your family make all the necessary arrangements.
For your reference, we have prepared a brief Guide to Jewish Mourning Practices which contains important telephone numbers as well as a concise summary of the laws and customs of burial, Shiva, and mourning.
May God comfort you and your family on your loss.
